A system for automated measurement of the rate of rise and fall of water level adapted for measuring infiltration rate and saturated hydraulic conductivity of soil comprises sensor means adapted for sensing the level of water, interfacing circuit operatively connected to said sensor means controller means operative connected to said sensor means through the said interfacing circuit and means adapted for displaying the rise and fall of the water level. A method for automated measurement of the rate of rise and fall of water level adapted for measuring infiltration rate and saturated hydraulic conductivity of soil comprises sensing of alteration of water level, conversion of the analog sensed value to its digital equivalent and storing the same, analysis and computation of received digital data and initialization of LCD display. |
