| Esterification of sodium carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) was done with Acryloyl chloride (ACl) which contains double bonds. The original CMC and the esterified product were characterized by FTIR and XRD. Salicylic acid (SA) tablets were coated with the polymer dispersion. Drug release profile indicated enteric nature of the polymer and potentiality to be used in sustained release systems. | |
