| Thus according to this invention is provided an adhesive composition. In accordance with this invention Bahera Gum is extracted from the bark of the bahera tree. Its solution when mixed its solution is mixed with rubber or synthetic adhesives in certain proportion performs as an excellent water soluble adhesive with comparable and in some cases greater bond strength than a commercial natural or synthetic adhesive. It has been observed that with increase in bahera concentration in rubber, bond strength of the adhesive increases. Adhesion strength was tested in wood, fabric, paper, floor tiles and in rexin etc. it gives excellent result in all the joints especially in the case of wood to wood joint. | |
