| This invention relates to a process for the preparation of charcoal loaded of with fine oxide powder for the removal of arsenate / arsenite ions form aqueous medium comprising the steps of soaking the salts of Fe(III) / Zr(IV) and manganous salt in active charcoal to obtain a paste, drying the paste, followed by heating the dried mass at a temperature in the range of 500 to 6000C and grinding to obtain the charcoal loaded with fine oxide powder. | |
