 A process for the preparation of low - absorbing self - supporting films comprising the steps of:
  • Mixing a blend of starch, plasticizers and solvent to make a uniform suspensing
  • Pouring the suspensing on a smooth plate, followed by spreading the suspensing to form a films
  • Drying said film; and peeling off the same to obtain the low - absorbing self - supporting films
