| The transducer uses optical encoder to determine the slope of an inclined surface under static or dynamic conditions. Output of the transducer being digital it can be interfaced with computers and microprocessors very easily. The encoder is mounted on a float, which is housed in a container filled with a viscous fluid. It uses laser diodes and photo detectors placed on either side of the encoder segment. Selection the number of tracks in the encoder can increase the resolution of measurement. It can be made to measure sign of the slope as well. | |
